Introduction to Illinois WildflowersJoin us for a wildflower hike in the Pilcher Park woods. Hike the flat paved Pilcher Interpretive Trail and immerse yourself in Virginia Bluebells. As far as the eye can see there is a sea of blue! Also see red and white Trillium as well as yellow and white Trout Lily. Skunk Cabbage and Marsh Marigolds await your entrance to the wetland area and Toothwort and Bloodroot line the path. We have some of the largest Jack in the Pulpits you will ever see! And don't forget fairies live beneath the May Apples so keep your eyes to the ground. This is only available at Pilcher Park from late April until June. This is a one hour hike.
